An investor pitch deck is required in your application, and it should adhere to these guidelines:
- Please submit files in Adobe Acrobat PDF/ppt/Google slides. No other format will be accepted

Dr. Joel Kopinsky (Ph.D. Chemical Engineering and MBA) is responsible for The ITB Group’s consulting assignments in energy storage (fossil fuels and hydrogen), vehicle emissions, plastic engine parts and glazing systems. In addition, he has completed numerous industry supported reports related to his specialty areas. Over the last few years, Dr. Kopinsky has been involved with mentoring several start-up organizations. In the 1980’s, Dr. Kopinsky worked at the General Motors Research Labs followed by the completion of his MBA at Columbia University. On the side, Dr. Kopinsky is an avid clarinetist and long-haul hiker.
Rich is a Technical Program Management Director at Rivian Automotive, helping drive world-class innovations, technologies, and processes into Rivian’s existing and upcoming product offerings. He pulls from over 35 years of experience, drawing from studio concept to start of production vehicle greenhouse development, new business development, mergers and acquisitions, engineering management, advanced technology concepting, and product and manufacturing engineering. Prior to joining Rivian, he held technical and manufacturing positions at Sheller Globe, United Technologies, Sommer Allibert, Magna International, Grupo Antolin, and SERES EV.
Jen is an accomplished business executive, angel investor, and consultant with in-depth knowledge of and experience with growth strategies, industry operations, business analysis, and project management. She holds two degrees from McMaster University, namely a B.Eng.Sc in Materials Engineering and Science and a M.A.Sc in Chemical Engineering. She is a Partner at NorthTech Capital Investors and her current practice at NorthBridge Consultants focuses on working with early-stage and mature companies in order to increase success with various government funding programs, aiming to improve general operations and implement sustainable growth strategies.
Joe is an Investment Manager in the Corporate Venture Capital group at Magna International. His career has focused on vehicle electrification at Tier 1 suppliers, battery manufacturers, and as a consultant. Prior to joining Magna, he advised clients, including battery manufacturers, automotive supplier transitioning into the electric vehicle market, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kettering University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and has an MBA from Northwood University.

Todd Deaville has served as Vice President, Factory of the Future since 2022. In this role he leads Magnas’ Corporate R&D teams with responsibility to identify, develop, and enable scale of advanced manufacturing technologies within Magna operations. Previously, Todd served as Director, Technology Innovation and Outreach for Magna R&D. Todd has worked for Magna in the automotive industry for 25 years, beginning with an apprenticeship in Mold Engineering and plastics molding. He received his Masters of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Toronto in 2010, based on the development of a novel automotive acoustics actuator.
Chad Pallopson has over 20 years of capital markets experience at some of Wall Street’s largest firms including J.P. Morgan, SVB Leerink, and Lazard. Chad has also been a Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at a Connecticut-based long/short equity hedge fund. After more than 2 decades in the New York City area, Chad recently moved back home to Canada. Born and raised in Orillia, ON, he now resides in the Parry Sound/Muskoka area. He is currently a Venture Partner with Archangel-Axion Fund and a consultant for the Northern Ontario Angels group. He is a member of the NORCAT mentor advisory board and serves on the board of directors for Iregained Inc.
